It seems like there is a national "day" for everything now. I saw that there was a #NationalPecanCookieDay.
Not to disparage the pecan cookie baker but some of this seems a bit ridiculous. I guess that depends on who is doing it. I was messaged the other day about International Batman Day, which I was all for celebrating.
I didn't even know that day existed (September 26, btw).
It has turned into one of those things that needs to be done in moderation. However, the last two days have been pretty broad and popular. #NationalDrinkBeerDay and #NationalCoffeeDay? Not too many people who would not be willing to celebrate those.
Drink your beer one night and use the coffee the following morning to help cure the hangover. That was the original idea, right?
Then again, I guess everyone can have their day. I mean, I can't wait for March 23, you know, National Melba Toast Day!
