(Bat) Flipping Crazy

There was no other way for than inning to end was there? After everything that led up to that moment... the ball off Shin Soo Choo's hand, the three straight errors, the play at the plate with a takeout slide, the visceral reaction from the Toronto crowd... it was the perfect ending with the perfect player with the perfect bat flip to an inning that will go down as one of the best and craziest in baseball history.

And unless you are a Rangers fan, how can you not love watching this over and over again?

And listening to the explosion from the Rogers Centre crowd, you would have thought the Maple Leafs won the Stanley Cup. That was not a baseball crowd, that was a hockey crowd!

How quickly the building went from complete outrage to complete elation. This is what postseason baseball should be.

And I thought the best pose of the day was going to be Edwin Encarnacion. The dude mic dropped his bat. Good, just not Joey Bats good.

It seems with every home run, the pimp game is getting better. Let's not forget that on Monday the new King of New York left his flipping mark. And that ball sailed into the second deck at Citi Field. I guess it has to be asked? Who did it better? Joey Bats, Yo, or EE?

We are already at the point that we have seen more home runs at this stage of the postseason than have ever been hit before. And the Blue Jays have moved on. The Cubs, who seem to only score runs via the long ball, have advanced. The Mets can follow along tonight.

The LCS may be the new Home Run Derby and if it turns into anything close to what we have seen in the Division Series, this will be a fun next week and a half.
